Stuart Stagner
Stuart Stagner serves as One80’s Captive and Alternative Risk Practice Leader. In this role he leads the team in providing agents, brokers and self-insured entities with market leading captive and alternative risk solutions. This helps clients improve their risk profile, control losses, and manage claims, and develop long-term strategies for alternative funding that addresses the unique risks of each business.
Stuart joined One80 with the acquisition of Innovative Risk Management, Inc. (IRM) in 2022. He formed IRM in 1991 to offer risk management consulting, risk control consulting, claims administration services and program administration services. Stuart has formed a number of association and group captive programs and has teamed with brokers and agents to form various agency captives.
Stuart completed his Bachelors of Business Administration degree at the University of Texas at Tyler in 1981 with a major in finance and minors in economics and accounting. He began his insurance career in 1982 by joining an independent agency as controller where he rose to President of that organization prior to forming IRM. Stuart has also served as a consultant for various public entities.
